Jason Mitchell Kahn joins me to talk all about 2020 and mindset. This year has handed us a lot, so we’re digging into strategies for navigating this season of seemingly endless change for both you and your clients. We discuss everything that has affected our lives and the lives of others these last six months, and how it could and should change us in a positive way.
So listen up, because mindset is the most important tool in your entrepreneurial toolbox. No matter what this season of business has brought your way, your mindset will get you through.
Grab a glass of bubbly (you deserve it!) and listen in.
About Jason Mitchell Kahn
Jason began working full time as a wedding planner after the 2014 launch of his book Getting Groomed: The Ultimate Wedding Planner for Gay Grooms, published by Chronicle Books. He currently runs Jason Mitchell Kahn & Co. and is the Director of Weddings & Editorial for Men’s Vows Magazine.
Before launching Jason Mitchell Kahn & Co., he served as the resident Wedding Planner for Shiraz Events overseeing the company’s market in New York, Los Angeles, and London. Prior to Shiraz Events, Jason worked for several years at Soho House New York as the Event and Banquet Manager and quickly became known as the in-house wedding expert.
Jason brings to weddings his passion for drama honed from his career and education in theatre. Jason approaches all weddings with his playwriting background: What is the couple’s version of their most beautiful story to be told?
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Jason and his team have made it their mission to help navigate these uncertain times in event planning. They offer complimentary consultations for couples without a wedding planner and provide tips for successful virtual weddings.

This Week’s Sponsor: Better Help
If you’re reading this in real-time, we are in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. I’ll be real honest here. Somedays I’m dealing with the isolation and this strange new normal pretty well. Other days? I’m very anxious and panicked about when this will all be over. If you’re familiar with me, you know I’ve never hidden the fact that I see a therapist. I believe taking care of our mental health should be as normalized as taking care of our physical health.
Because I travel so much I see an online therapist at Better Help. Better Help is the world’s largest e-counseling platform. They make professional counseling accessible, affordable, and convenient so you can get help anytime anywhere. You can video chat with your therapist or do your session by phone. You can even text them through the Better Help portal (I’ve done that a lot).
Listen. If you’re struggling, you aren’t alone, even if right now you’re physically alone. Get a free week of counseling if you go to reneedalo.com/betterhelp. You deserve to be happy. Now more than ever.
Thanks for Listening
