The Future is Now
Venturing outside of your industry-comfort-bubble is so important, because gaining an outsiders perspective can bring you to new levels in unexpected ways. I figured there was no one better suited to show us how it’s done than CEO & Creator behind Merri, Randi Bushell. Merri is Randi’s interactive platform that allows couples planning their weddings a visual 3D planning experience. She built this interactive platform after searching & searching, with no avail, for a similar tool while planning her own wedding. Today Randi & I come together to discuss the next generation of couples, technology, and planning, and Randi dishes some amazing insight on identifying with your consumer and progressing your business into the next generation of weddings.
Grab your coffee, grab your tea, let’s talk it out!
About Randi Bushell
Randi Bushell is the Founder & CEO of Merri, a 3D visualization platform & marketplace for the events industry. Prior to starting Merri, she lead Product Strategy at Jet.com and Walmart.com, where she managed the roadmap for all strategic initiatives in the Retail organization. During this time, she was planning her wedding, and struggled to make design decisions without adequate tooling to visualize the event. This lightbulb moment was the genesis for Merri, and she built a team and went to work the day she returned from her honeymoon. Launching in late 2019, Merri is revolutionizing how events are designed, planned, and booked through a first-of-its-kind interactive 3D platform. Their integrated workflows and collaboration tools bring venues, vendors, and event hosts onto a single platform, streamlining the end-to-end planning lifecycle. They just closed $5.2M of venture funding, and have the support of industry big names like David Tutera and CORT rentals.
